(1946–2003) US dancer, choreographer, and actor; full name Gregory Oliver Hines. He appeared in movies such as The Cotton Club (1984), White Nights (1985), The Preacher's Wife (1996), and The Tic Code (2000), as well as on Broadway in such shows as Jelly's Last Jam (1992).
