(1908–2005), English actor; full name Sir John Lewis Ernest Watts Mills. He is noted for his roles in war and adventure movies, such as Scott of the Antarctic (1948). He won an Academy Award for his portrayal of a village idiot in Ryan's Daughter (1971). His daughters Juliet Mills (1941–) and Hayley Mills (1946–) also have had acting careers.
