(1957–1999), US golfer; full name William Payne Stewart. His championship titles include the PGA (1989), and the US Open (1991, 1999). He owned a clothing line that featured his familiar plus fours (baggy knickers worn as traditional golfing attire). Stewart died in an airplane crash.
